The following are a few Public relations tips your school could implement today,

#1 Flyers vs invitations

Send flyers for events or activities you want students to attend. Send invitations for events or activities you want parents to attend.

#2 Email marketing via the parent group

Have the parent group send weekly emails to parents on their list. The email could provide information like parent group news and school news. Keep it simple. If you need help setting this up, contact us

#3 Coffee / tea chat

Schedule a virtual 15 to 30 minute coffee/tea chat with parents and a faculty member or school leader. Great way for school leadership and parents to build a relationship of trust and transparency.

#4 Set up automatic email responses

When someone emails a teacher or the school administration, have their emails set to send an automatic response. The automatic response could say something like, “Thank you for contacting Mrs. Wilson’s 2nd Grade Class. Your message has been received. A response will be sent to you within 24-48 hours.”  By doing this, parents receive an immediate response from the school and a confirmation that their message has been received.
